Nya Valenzuela, a senior at Deer Valley High, won the Division 3 girls 800-meter and 1,600-meter crowns at the Arizona Interscholastic Association state championship meet on her home track in Glendale. Valenzuela clocked 2:20.84 in the 800 and 5:10.99 in the 1,600 to secure both titles.
